A lapsed journalism graduate, I have been a paid film critic since 1985, with commensurate physical and mental damage. I had signed my first movie-review book contract before I graduated college (you've never heard of it and would have to be able to read Dutch anyway). Moments of glory: for a year I had my own online B-video review column on the TV Guide website. I was a key contributor to some of the spinoff books in the VideoHound series. I dream of LA but still live in the rust belt. I find movies a fascinating form of social pathology, don't you? And I hope that my film reviews save you from a bad viewing experience, or at least let you know that YOU DID NOT SUFFER ALONE! I have opinions on other consumer products, and will share what I feel is useful. Career goal: for the Wizard to give me brains, a heart and courage.
