About Andrew_Lim
|
Spent most of my life in stuffy Singapore, completing primary school education at Catholic High School and then going on to secondary school at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent).
Later I was forced to study abroad since the course of my choice was not available in Singapore. The first option was Australia...a place down-under but not too far away.
I did metriculation at Trinity College in Melbourne. It was the first time I had studied abroad.
From 2000-2004 I went through the Bachelor of Veterinary Science course at the University of Melbourne. I was very relieved on graduation day.
Then I enlisted in the Singapore Armed Forces to complete compulsory National Service. I became a military policeman and was subsequently the only full-time veterinarian taking care of all the dogs in the Dog Unit.
Since June 2007 I've been working at the RSPCA (Burwood, Australia), and this is also my first job. Unlike most others I enjoy working a lot more than studying.
Photography is my greatest love (apart from the obvious others) and pastime. I've been behind the lens since December 2002 with the arrival of my first digital camera.
Since then I've taken a myriad of photos. Some of my favorites are now on my Geocities webpage and there's also a tutorial on my Blogspot page, if you ever want to learn the basics of photography.
While being a family photographer to a certain extent, I primarily photograph landscape and travel scenery, close-ups and animals, and have also been a backup photographer at weddings.
My dream is to take a long vacation to the safaris of Africa and to be able to capture all its beauty on film. The wildlife there is truly stunning, and the books I've read have inspired me to photograph these animals.
That takes big bucks, something I'm not going to get in this job. Next time somebody tells you that vets are rich, don't believe them.
 | You scored as Drunk Cat. Put down the bottle, Cheech. Sign up for some AA classes and drink a glass of water. Bars are ok once in a while, but you shouldn't be sleeping at them.
